President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a C'n'C meeting with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the effectiveness of air defence during Russian shelling.
The President informed this on social media.
‘There was a detailed analysis of today's Russian strike and the use of our air defence. Usually, after massive attacks, we do such analyses of combat operations - we identify weaknesses and experience that deserves to be shared. Today we had all the necessary reports on this. Particular attention is paid to the effectiveness of our air defence,’ the Head of State noted.
In total, the Russians used more than 260 air attack weapons during the attack: cruise and ballistic missiles, attack drones.
‘Today, this Russian strike on our energy system, on our civilian facilities took place as routinely for Russia, as vile and cynical as always, as if there were no attempts by Ukraine and the world to end this war at all,’ the President added.
Zelenskyy emphasises that Ukraine is ready for peace: ‘We have proposed concrete steps. And every day, new Russian strikes and reality itself prove that it is Russia that needs to be forced to peace - to stop the war, to real diplomacy, to guarantee security and to a reliable, lasting peace.’
