Naftogazbezpeka, a state-owned enterprise within Naftogaz Group, actively engages women in protecting its facilities. This was stated by Roman Chumak, Acting Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
“Our facilities need reliable protection, and it doesn’t matter whether it is provided by men or women. The main thing is professionalism, responsibility, and willingness to work in difficult conditions. Women who have chosen the security business demonstrate a high level of training and endurance. We support their choice and create all the conditions for their development in this area,” said Chumak.
The primary responsibilities of security personnel include ensuring safety, monitoring the premises, and maintaining the integrity of protected facilities.
Currently, Naftogazbezpeka employs 443 women, 387 of whom work as security guards. Since the start of the war, 110 women have changed professions and retrained for security roles.
Before the full-scale invasion, the ratio of women to men at the company was one to 11. Now, every seventh employee is a woman, the company noted.
