Last night, Russia again carried out another massive missile and drone attack on gas infrastructure, Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko said. In particular, production facilities were damaged.

As soon as the security situation allowed, experts began assessing the damage and restoration work.

The Minister noted that the purpose of these criminal attacks is to stop gas production, which is necessary to meet the household needs of citizens and district heating.

All necessary measures are currently being taken to eliminate the consequences of the attacks and stabilise gas supply.

"While Russia continues to blatantly lie about not attacking civilian critical infrastructure, we are witnessing several missiles targeting Ukrainian gas production facilities at once. Such actions of the enemy only prove once again that Russia is trying to inflict pain on ordinary Ukrainians, to plunge them into the cold in the middle of winter. This is outright terrorism," the minister said.

Updated. The press service of Naftogaz has reported that Naftogaz Group companies in several regions of Ukraine have been affected. It is noted that all of them continue to operate and supply gas to all categories of consumers.

"Naftogaz Group, like all energy companies, operates in extremely difficult conditions. Energy security is more important today than ever before. And never before has it required so much effort and investment in protection and restoration. The situation is under control, although it is very difficult," said Roman Chumak, CEO of Naftogaz Group.

Overnight, Russians fired about 14 missiles and 161 attack drones at Ukraine.
