In the temporarily occupied Berdyansk, Zaporizhzhya Region, the so-called deputy head of the city's occupation administration, Yevhen Bohdanov, was eliminated.
This was reported by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
"On 20 February 2025, at 6:05 a.m., a grey Renault Duster exploded near the 96th house on Vostochnyy Avenue in the temporarily occupied Berdyansk, burning to the ground; the Russian occupation services arrived at the scene," the agency said.
It is known that at the time of the explosion, the car was occupied by war criminal Yevhen Bogdanov, a Russian citizen who formally held the position of the so-called deputy head of the occupation administration of Berdyansk.
The responsibilities of the Russian occupier included, in particular, control over finances in the occupation administration and the organisation of the construction of fortifications in the temporarily occupied areas of Zaporizhzhya Region. During his stay in the occupied Ukrainian territories, Bohdanov repeatedly committed war crimes against Ukrainian citizens.
It was established that the deceased was a native of Pikalevo, Boksitogorsk district, Leningrad Region. He arrived in Berdyansk immediately after the city was captured by Russian troops in 2022. He was appointed to the occupying pseudo-administration on the instructions of the Russian special services.
- In the occupied Berdyansk, Zaporizhzhya Region, the car of Vasyl Nechet, the ‘head’ of the Russian occupation council of the city, was blown up. The victim of the explosion was taken away by an ambulance.
