Russians are being gradually driven out of Sumy Region.

This was announced by Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening video address.

‘Today, we heard a report from Chief Commander Syrskyy on the frontline, especially the Pokrovske direction, the Kursk operation, and the border of Sumy region. Our units in Sumy Region are gradually pushing back the occupier,’ the Head of State said.

The President noted that they were working with partners to strengthen defence.

‘...There was a report by Defence Minister Umerov - we discussed certain details of the entire negotiation activity with him. We also discussed the financing of our defence and defence production in Ukraine. Every day in Ukraine and with our partners, we focus on defence,’ Zelenskyy said.

Recently, the President reported fierce fighting in Sumy Region, as well as on the Pokrovsk and Kursk directions.
