France’s leading museums adopt Ukrainian-language audio guides.
In Paris, First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska took part in signing a memorandum with Musée de Cluny, which will now offer visitors an audio guide in Ukrainian. A further fourteen museums within the Paris Musées network join the initiative, including Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris, Musée Carnavalet – Histoire de Paris, Les Catacombes de Paris, Petit Palais, Maison de Victor Hugo, Musée Zadkine, among others.
‘Very soon, these institutions will introduce a Ukrainian-language component in various formats — an audio guide, a digital app, or a booklet in Ukrainian,’ the First Lady stated.
“During her address, Olena Zelenska also highlighted the deep historical bond between Ukraine and France, which dates back to the time of Anna Yaroslavna — the Ukrainian princess who became Queen of France. This, she noted, serves as a reminder that cultural dialogue can bridge distances and centuries when there is a genuine desire for mutual understanding.
More than one hundred museums across various countries have already joined the audio guide initiative.”
