Recently, a meeting with Ukrainian conductor Oksana Lyniv took place at the Vasyl Slipak Ukrainian Cultural Centre in Paris. The event was organised by the Anne of Kyiv Centre, the organisers wrote on their Facebook page.

The event focused on the historical and artistic ties between Ukraine and France, as well as the role of cultural diplomacy in strengthening international relations. Special attention was given to the importance of developing sustainable artistic projects as a means of enhancing Ukraine’s presence in the global cultural space.

Oksana Lyniv shared her experience collaborating with French musical ensembles and initiatives aimed at promoting Ukrainian music, including projects in partnership with Ukrainian composers.

The discussion also covered the world premiere of Les visions de Prince by composer Édouard Reznicek, inspired by the novel by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The premiere took place in February at the Philharmonie de Paris with the Orchestre de Paris and received a positive response from audiences.

Oksana Lyniv’s repertoire includes works by more than 20 Ukrainian composers. During her concerts, she strives to feature Ukrainian soloists. Several contemporary Ukrainian composers have also created works on her commission, which have since been performed on leading international stages.
