The PinchukArtCentre will present the exhibition Still Joy — From Ukraine Into the World as part of the parallel programme of La Biennale di Venezia. The project, entitled Still Joy (‘quiet, enduring joy’), will bring together leading Ukrainian and international artists who explore joy as a form of vitality and a manifestation of humanity, even in times of adversity. The exhibition is based on real-life testimonies collected by Ukrainian veteran Hlib Stryzhko, who survived Russian captivity, and journalist Nataliya Humenyuk, co-founder of The Reckoning Project.

Exhibitors include Ukrainian artists Nikita Kadan, Zhanna Kadyrova, Alevtina Kakhidze and Oleksiy Sai, as well as international artists such as Tacita Dean, Ryan Gander and Ashfika Rahman.

The exhibition will be curated by Björn Geldhof and Oleksandra Pohrebnyak. It will run in Venice from 9 May to 1 August 2026.

The exhibition Still Joy emerges as an artistic response to contemporary challenges: its narrative is shaped in Ukraine, yet resonates on a global scale. The project explores a fragile yet unbreakable sense of joy as a means of preserving humanity and connection with the world, even in times of war.
