The SBU hit the enemy oil station Samara

On the night of 21 April, drones from the SBU’s Alpha Special Operations Centre caused a large-scale fire at the Samara line production dispatch station in the village of Prosvet, Samara Region, Russian Federation.

An informed source within the SBU told LB.ua about this.

At this station, high- and low-sulphur crude oil from various fields is blended to produce the Urals export grade. The facility is a key component of the Russian Federation’s oil transport infrastructure.

According to preliminary data, SBU drones damaged five 20,000-cubic-metre crude oil storage tanks.

“Striking such key stations directly reduces the Russian Federation’s ability to assemble export oil shipments and fulfil contractual obligations. The balance of raw materials is disrupted, logistics and storage costs are rising, and there are risks of supply disruptions. As a result, Russia is receiving ever-decreasing revenues from oil sales, which it could otherwise direct towards the war against Ukraine,” the source reported.
