A campaign was held in Washington in support of Ukrainian children illegally taken by Russia. As part of the initiative, an installation comprising 20,000 teddy bears was created, each symbolising one abducted child. The installation was organised by Razom for Ukraine in partnership with the American Coalition for Ukraine. Dozens of organisations and more than 120 volunteers joined the effort. The organisers reported this on their Facebook page.

The event also featured a rally and a press conference, where participants called on the international community to intensify efforts to bring Ukrainian children home.

The venue was the Ukrainian Catholic National Shrine of the Holy Family, with logistical support provided by United Help Ukraine.

The event was attended by Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States, Olha Stefanishyna, who stated in her speech: “Russia is not just waging a war — it is stealing Ukraine’s future. Thousands of children have been abducted, stripped of their identity, and forced to live a new life. This crime echoes centuries of attempts to erase Ukraine. It will not succeed. We will bring every child home.”
