According to the Ukrainian Film Agency, the Build Your Dream Award is a new international prize established by BYD in collaboration with Mediawan, aimed at supporting and funding emerging film directors.
The shortlist for the award included 15 debut international films released in French cinemas over the course of the year.
The romantic thriller Honeymoon tells the story of a young married couple, Taras and Olya, who, on the morning after their housewarming party in a house in the Kyiv Region, find themselves confronted with the full-scale Russian invasion.
The protagonists become trapped in their own flat — without electricity, water or communication. Over the course of five days, everything superfluous between them disappears, leaving only the truth about themselves and the genuine closeness between two people.
