Procurement via the DOT-Chain Defence digital system is now available to the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service and the National Police.
This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko.
“On the initiative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Government has decided to scale up the model of digital defence procurement via the DOT-Chain Defence system of the Defence Procurement Agency,” he noted.
The Minister emphasised that the model had proven its effectiveness during a six-month pilot project with the National Guard.
“Its main principle is maximum convenience, precision and speed in procuring domestically produced defence products,” Klymenko added.
According to him, the system’s key advantage is that units can independently generate requests and promptly receive orders directly from verified Ukrainian manufacturers.
As reported by the Defence Procurement Agency, funding for procurements for units within the Ministry of Internal Affairs system will be provided through the ministry’s budget programmes.
“DOT-Chain Defence has been used by combat units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for almost a year to order drones and other equipment. The system’s performance formed the basis for expanding the marketplace to combat units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs,” said Arsen Zhumadilov, Director of the DOT Defence Procurement Agency.
Over the course of six months, more than 800 million hryvnias were channelled through the system for the procurement of UAVs, robotic systems, electronic warfare equipment and night-vision devices for 14 National Guard units, including the Azov and Khartiya brigades.
The project has been extended until October 2027 and, in addition to the National Guard, now includes combat units of the State Border Guard Service and the National Police. “Our task is to ensure that combat units receive what they need more quickly, without unnecessary bureaucracy and in line with the actual needs on the front line,” Klymenko said.
