‘Ingen planer om å bli / Not Intended to Stay’ is a bilingual collection, with translations from Ukrainian by Marte Høke and Iryna Sabor.
Several events are scheduled between 30 May and 5 June, including a launch in Oslo and at the Norwegian Literature Festival.
“The poems in ‘No intention of staying’ describe a person’s encounter with a particular place in a sensual, melancholic and joyful way – as fleeting moments and as memories, as states that are both eternal and transient,” the publisher’s website states. “Myths of antiquity and Slavic folklore resonate in modernist rhythms, brimming with images of animals and plants, the fluttering wings of migratory birds and a light touch of Daoism.”
