The US military has received the first Ukrainian-made UAVs authorised for export from Ukraine – the F10, drone manufacturer F-Drones has announced.
The shipment comprises 2,000 drones.
"The first Ukrainian drone officially authorised for export to the United States. One of the leaders in the first stage of the Pentagon's Drone Dominance programme, together with our US partner, UDD Tech Corp. We keep moving forward," the company wrote on its Facebook page.
The Drone Dominance Program is a Pentagon initiative worth $1.1 billion, designed to rapidly expand strike drone production for the US military. The programme consists of four phases of open trials, in which companies compete for contracts, with procurement volumes increasing from one round to the next.
During the first round, held between February and March 2026, UDD (Ukrainian Defense Drones), the US subsidiary of F-Drones, ranked sixth among 25 participants and secured a contract to supply 2,000 F10 drones. In the second round, the final of which is scheduled for August, UDD Tech Corp advanced to the shortlist of 19 finalists competing for contracts worth $300 million to deliver 60,000 systems.
The Pentagon itself has offered a cautious assessment of the programme's scale. According to Travis Metz, deputy director of the Defense Innovation Unit, the United States is expected to procure fewer than 200,000 drones in total by February 2027. Ukraine, by comparison, is producing 6–7 million drones this year.
