Russian strikes take no holidays, so there can be no pauses in partners’ support for Ukraine or in pressure on the aggressor.

Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha commented this way on the occupiers’ overnight strikes on Kyiv and the Kyiv Region.

Overnight, Russia attacked Kyiv and the Region with more than 20 ballistic missiles, killing at least 17 people and injuring more than 40.

“Every interceptor missile matters. These are tools that save lives, and once again I urge all partners to speed up the adoption of all relevant decisions,” the minister said.

Sybiha added that Russia must be deprived of the ability to produce these instruments of ballistic terror, so additional tough sanctions are critical and urgent.

He also warned against any false moral equivalence between the aggressor and the state defending itself.

“Russian attacks cannot be justified by anything, including any actions by Ukraine. Instead, Ukraine has the full right to strike legitimate military targets in Russia in self-defense in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter,” the head of the ministry stressed.
