In the morning, the Russian army struck Kharkiv. As of 10:30, seven people are reported injured. One woman also suffered an acute stress reaction.

Medics are providing them with the necessary assistance.
Russian troops also hit a private house in the Kholodnohirskyy district with a Banderol drone. Nearby residential buildings and several cars were damaged. All emergency services are working at the impact sites. They are dealing with the aftermath of the attack.
As for the Novobavarskyy district, the strike there hit a civilian enterprise.
- On the night of 5 August, Russia attacked Ukraine with four Zircon/Oniks anti-ship missiles, 24 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, and 115 attack UAVs.
- It launched drones from the directions of Kursk, Millerovo, Oryol, and the occupied Donetsk and Crimea. Missiles were launched from Bryansk, Kursk, and Rostov Regions.
- The main direction of the attack was Kyiv and the Kyiv Region.
- According to preliminary data as of 08:30, air defense shot down/suppressed 98 Russian UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, as well as drones of other types, in the north, south, and east of the country. Missile impacts and 17 attack UAV hits were recorded at 26 locations, as well as the debris of downed drones at six locations.
