In July, Russian forces seized 36–38 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory.
That is nearly 15 times less than in the same period last year, when the advance totaled 564 square kilometers, according to the Estonian Defence Forces Intelligence Centre, as reported by ERR.
The intensity of fighting along the front remains high, with an average of 243 clashes per day. Russian units have made minor gains near Velykyy Burluk, Pokrovsk, Kostyantynivka, and Hulyaypole. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces are actively counterattacking in Sumy Region, near Borova, Kupyansk, and Slovyansk, and have also advanced in the areas of Borova, Slovyansk, and Oleksandrivka.
Russia’s personnel losses average 1,300 people per day, and overall in July the Russians lost 42,860 troops—29% more than in July last year, Estonian intelligence said.
