The US Senate has begun debating a bill on sanctions against Russia, Yevropeyska Pravda reports.
One of its co-authors is the late Senator Lindsey Graham.
In their speeches, senators have pointed to the intensifying Russian terror against Ukrainian cities. They stress the need to make it harder for Russia to obtain funds to continue the war.
Kateryna Lisunova, a journalist with the Razom for Ukraine initiative, says the final vote is expected at 19:00 Kyiv time. This session will be the Senate’s last before a recess for the holidays.
