Ukraine’s Defence Forces struck several important Russian military targets overnight on 12 August. Among them was a ground relay station used to control Geran and Gerbera attack drones.
Ukraine’s General Staff reported the strikes.
The relay station was struck near Olenivka in temporarily occupied Crimea. Ukrainian forces also hit a Russian repair unit near Mariupol in Donetsk Region.
Another target was a site where personnel from a Russian unmanned systems unit were concentrated near Mariivka in Luhansk Region.
The strikes are expected to weaken Russian forces’ ability to control attack drones, repair equipment and operate unmanned systems units, according to the General Staff.
