On 19 August and during the night of 20 August 2026, units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck key enemy facilities in Russia’s Tatarstan and Krasnodar Krai.

The General Staff reported this.

The TANECO oil refinery in Nizhnekamsk, Republic of Tatarstan, was hit. An impact was recorded, followed by a fire on the plant’s premises.

TANECO can process up to 16 million tonnes of crude oil per year. The plant produces a wide range of petroleum products, including motor fuels and other refined products. It is involved in supplying the enemy’s army.

In addition, the Tamannneftegaz oil terminal in Volna, Krasnodar Krai, Russia, was hit. A fire was recorded on the site.

Tamannneftegaz is one of Russia’s key oil terminals in the Black Sea region. The capacity of the Taman transshipment complex enables the handling of up to 19.9 million tonnes of oil, petroleum products, and liquefied hydrocarbon gases per year. The terminal transfers oil and petroleum products from rail transport to seagoing vessels. It supports the logistical and fuel needs of the Russian army.

The extent of the damage is being уточнюється.

Work against key enemy facilities continues, the General Staff said.
