As a result of a Russian attack on Kyiv overnight on 20 August, the premises of a children’s hospital in the Solomianskyi district were damaged. No patients or medical staff were injured.
This was reported by the Department of Health of the Kyiv City State Administration.
Windows were blown out on every floor of the inpatient building and hospital wards. Doors were damaged in some rooms and offices. Technical facilities suffered the most. One of them was completely destroyed in the attack.
Specialists are currently assessing the extent of the damage and the consequences of the Russian strike.
- Overnight on 20 August, Russia unleashed terror on Kyiv. The capital was hit with cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and drones. As of the morning, 12 people are known to have been killed and 35 injured. On 21 August, the capital has declared a Day of Mourning.
