Russian forces attacked Kharkiv’s Osnovianskyy district with a combat drone. According to preliminary information, the strike hit a shopping centre.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported this.
“Information is coming in about people injured as a result of the strike on the shopping centre. Their number and condition are being clarified,” Terekhov wrote.
Later, the mayor clarified: at present, there are three casualties, one of them in an extremely critical condition. As of 12:35, Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Synyehubov updated the information: as a result of the shelling, a 40-year-old man was killed, and two more people were injured.
Emergency services are working at the scene and people are being evacuated.
It is worth noting that the day before, Russians struck a business centre in Lozova, in the Kharkiv Region. As a result of the attack, the building caught fire and nearby high-rise blocks were damaged. After a pause, the Russians carried out a second strike. Ten people were injured, some of them in a serious condition.
