On the night of 13 September, Ukraine’s Defence Forces struck the Slavyansky oil refinery in Slavyansk-na-Kubani, in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai. A fire was recorded on the plant’s premises.
The strike was confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Slavyansky is one of the largest independent refineries in southern Russia. Its processing capacity is about 5.2 million tonnes of oil per year. The plant produces, among other things, motor petrol, fuel oil, vacuum gas oil and aviation kerosene, and is involved in meeting the needs of Russian forces.

Also hit was the Taneco refinery in Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan. A fire was recorded in one of the tanks at the facility.
In addition, in Millerovo, Rostov Region, a site used by Russian forces to store, prepare and launch strike drones was hit.
Following an analysis of additional data, it was established that on 11 September, at the Saratov refinery in Saratov, the ELZU-AVT-6 primary oil processing unit and a section of the main pipeline were damaged.
The Defence Forces said operations against Russia’s key military targets are continuing.
