In this week alone, Russia has launched about 2,100 drones at Ukraine, nearly 1,700 guided aerial bombs and 78 missiles of various types. This was reported by Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"In this week alone, Russia has launched about 2,100 drones at Ukraine. A significant share of them are jet-powered ‘Shaheds’, which the Russians are using in an attempt to cripple the economy and destroy people’s lives," Zelenskyy said.
According to him, Russian forces also used nearly 1,700 guided aerial bombs and 78 missiles of various types.
"Overnight and this morning, there were strikes on the energy sector, Ukrzaliznytsia, businesses and ordinary residential buildings. Odesa was attacked with missiles and drones," the President noted.
Zelenskyy added that restoration work is continuing in many western regions of Ukraine following the overnight attacks.
"In particular, all the necessary services are working near the Ukrainian-Polish border in Volyn, where the Russians demonstratively set a train locomotive on fire and damaged a filling station in a drone strike," he said.
The President stressed that Ukrainians are resisting Russian aggression every day to prevent it from spreading further.
"It is precisely to ensure these strikes do not go further, into Europe, that Ukrainian men and women fight every day, give their lives and do not allow the aggression to expand," Zelenskyy said.

He also described Russian terrorism as a shared threat to many countries.
"Russian terrorism is a shared threat to many, but it can and must be defeated in Ukraine," the President emphasised.
Zelenskyy thanked everyone who is helping Ukraine defend its skies and supporting Ukrainians.
