Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić arrived in Ukraine on 18 September. He will take part in a meeting of the “Carpathian Integration Initiative”, being held in Ivano-Frankivsk Region.
Vučić announced his arrival on social media.
According to him, he came at the invitation of Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The Serbian politician described the initiative as an important project intended to strengthen the economic, transport and infrastructure connectivity of countries across the wider Carpathian region.
He also highlighted Serbia’s capabilities in transport links. In particular, this concerns developing connections with Romania, Hungary, Ukraine and Poland — from rail and road routes to simplifying border crossings and expanding cooperation in agriculture.
The Summit Will Bring Together Representatives of Eight Countries

Dan’s administration said that a number of side events will take place on the margins of the Summit, including the Carpathian Economic Forum, a Youth Forum, meetings of local authorities, as well as meetings on cultural cooperation and nature conservation.
