Over the past day, from the morning of 18 September to the morning of 19 September, Russian forces shelled the territory of Sumy region more than 50 times. Twenty-one settlements across 12 territorial communities came under attack.
This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
As a result of the Russian attacks, three civilians were killed and a further 12 people were injured.
In the Sumy community, a guided aerial bomb strike on a multi-storey residential building killed a 51-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman. Men aged 58, 73, 71 and 70, a seven-year-old boy, women aged 67, 79 and 76, a 13-year-old girl, and a 46-year-old man sustained injuries and trauma.

In the Bilopillia community, a 32-year-old man was killed when explosives were dropped from a drone, and another man, aged 35, was wounded.
A 24-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy also sought medical assistance after being injured in attacks that took place in the Sumy community on 16 September.
The highest number of shelling incidents was recorded in Sumy district. The Sumy, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Myropillia, Yunakivka, Khotin, Bezdryk, Esman, Putyvl, Novoslobidske, Okhtyrka and Trostianets communities were hit.
Russian forces used mortars, artillery, FPV drones, unmanned aerial vehicles and guided aerial bombs.
In the Sumy community, apartment blocks, a civilian infrastructure facility and cars were damaged. In the Okhtyrka and Trostianets communities, civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.
In the Bezdryk community, non-residential premises and private homes were damaged.
Also, due to earlier shelling in the Seredyna-Buda and Yampil communities, residential buildings were destroyed, and a non-residential building and outbuildings were damaged.
Over the past day, the air-raid alert in Sumy region lasted 12 hours and 17 minutes.
