Over the past day, Russian forces shelled Sumy region almost 60 times. Seventeen settlements in 11 communities came under fire. As a result of the attacks, four people were killed and five others were injured.
This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
In the Svesa community, four people were killed when a Russian drone struck a car — two men aged 58 and 45, and two women aged 56 and 76.
In the Sumy community, a 42-year-old man was wounded in an artillery strike.
Two more people were injured in the Velyka Pysarivka community. A 48-year-old woman and a 57-year-old man were wounded in an enemy drone strike.
In addition, a 13-year-old boy sought medical help after being injured in a guided aerial bomb strike on 18 September in the Sumy community.
A 55-year-old woman also sought medical assistance after being injured in a Russian drone strike on 17 September in the Hlukhiv community.
From the morning of 19 September to the morning of 20 September, Russian forces carried out almost 60 attacks on 17 settlements in 11 territorial communities. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka districts.
The Sumy, Krasnopillia, Yunakivka, Shostka, Esman, Svesa, Hlukhiv, Konotop, Popivka, Novoslobidske and Velyka Pysarivka communities came under fire.
Russian forces used artillery, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs.
In the Sumy community, non-residential premises were damaged, and vehicles were destroyed and damaged.
In the Hlukhiv community, a private house and an outbuilding were damaged; in the Popivka community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged.
In the Velyka Pysarivka community, service vehicles were damaged; in the Svesa community, residential buildings, a non-residential premises and a car were damaged.
Damage was also recorded in the Konotop and Shostka communities — warehouse and residential premises were affected there.
In addition, in the Seredyna-Buda, Znob-Novhorodske and Yampil communities, residential buildings, non-residential premises, outbuildings and a civilian infrastructure facility were destroyed and damaged as a result of earlier Russian shelling.
Over the past day, the air raid alert in Sumy region lasted 19 hours and 10 minutes.
