Overnight on 20 September, Russia attacked Ukraine with 138 attack UAVs; air defence forces neutralised 101 enemy drones.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
"On the night of 20 September (from 18:00 on 19 September), the enemy attacked with 138 Shahed-type attack UAVs (half of them jet-powered), Gerbera, Parodiya-type decoy drones, from the following directions: Oryol, Millerovo — Russia; temporarily occupied Donetsk, temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea — Hvardiiske," the statement said.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defences had shot down/suppressed 101 enemy UAVs of the Shahed and Gerbera types, as well as drones of other types.
Impacts by the enemy’s air attack assets were recorded at 17 locations, and the fall of downed drones (debris) at 5 locations.
"The attack is ongoing; enemy UAVs remain in the airspace. Follow safety rules!" the Air Force stressed.
