At least three Palestinians were killed in Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip on Saturday, 19 September. Those killed included the son of Gaza’s health ministry director-general.

This was reported by Reuters.

One strike near the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza killed Basir al-Bursh — the son of Munir al-Bursh, director-general of the local health ministry.

The Israeli military said it carried out strikes on several militants on Saturday, including Basir al-Bursh. It provided no further details about him.

Another man was killed in a strike in the Shejaiya area in eastern Gaza City. A separate strike hit a car in the Sheikh Radwan area, killing one more person.

The Israeli military said the strike on the car in Sheikh Radwan was aimed at a Hamas militant.

According to the Palestinian authorities, more than 73,000 people have been killed in Gaza since October 2023.

  • On 11 September, Israel destroyed key tunnels built by the Hezbollah group beneath the strategic Ali al-Taher mountain range in southern Lebanon.
