Due to fires in the Kyiv region, smoke haze and the smell of burning may be noticeable on Kyiv’s right bank. Residents are advised to keep windows shut and, where possible, reduce the time they spend outdoors.
This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA).
“Due to fires in the Kyiv region, smoke haze and the smell of burning may occur on the right bank of the capital. If you can smell smoke, we recommend: keeping windows shut; where possible, reducing the time spent outdoors; refraining from intense physical activity in the open air,” the KCSA statement said.
At the same time, the city administration noted that, according to monitoring sensors, air conditions on Kyiv’s south-western outskirts are currently assessed as satisfactory.
“This means that air quality indicators are within normal limits and there is no threat to the health of most people. However, people who are sensitive to air pollution or have respiratory conditions may experience slight discomfort,” the KCSA said.
