The highest number of attempted illegal crossings of the state border is recorded by border guards on the section with Romania. Second place in the number of such cases is held by the border with Moldova.
State Border Guard Service of Ukraine spokesperson Andrii Demchenko said this on air, Ukrinform reports.
Answering a question about where attempts to cross the border illegally are most often recorded, Demchenko noted:
"Traditionally, it is the section of the border with Romania. We record the most offenders precisely on this section of the border. In second place is the border with Moldova".
According to him, on other sections of the state border the number of attempted illegal crossings is significantly lower.
At the same time, the State Border Guard Service spokesperson noted that recently border guards have not recorded an increase in the number of such attempts.
"At the same time, over the recent period we have not recorded an increase in the number of attempts (illegal border crossings — ed.), fortunately," Demchenko added.
