Smoke has been reported in several districts of Kyiv on 23 September as a result of Russian attacks. Air quality at all stationary monitoring points remains within normal limits.
Smoke has been observed in the Obolonskyy, Solomyanskyy and Podilskyy districts. The Kyiv City State Administration (KMDA) reported this.
“This may have a negative impact on health, primarily for people with respiratory and cardiovascular conditions, children, older people and pregnant women,” the statement said.
Until the situation improves, specialists recommend:
- close windows;
- if possible, reduce the time spent outdoors;
- drink enough water;
- if you have an air purifier, switch it on at maximum.
The air quality index reflects the current situation and can change quickly depending on how the fire situation develops.
Russia has been attacking Kyiv since the night. It has struck railway infrastructure, office buildings, warehouses and petrol stations. Eight people were injured and one person was killed.
