On the night of 23 September, the Russian army attacked port and civilian infrastructure in the Odesa Region. A commercial cargo vessel flying the flag of Antigua and Barbuda was hit. The captain, a Ukrainian citizen, was killed.
The rest of the crew were evacuated, the head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, reported on Facebook. The fire was extinguished.
“Warehouse premises used to store medicines, household goods and food were also attacked twice in succession. Firefighting operations lasted several hours,” Kiper said.
