Ukraine, the United States and Europe believe Russia will carry out hybrid attacks against European countries. And this is unrelated to whether these countries’ hubs contain military goods for Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in an audio briefing with journalists in response to a question from NV. He added that Ukraine and its Western partners share the same understanding of the situation.
“Just as we share the same understanding that there will be a covert mobilisation,” he said.
The president added that in the near future there would be certain steps taken by the security services of various countries.
According to Zelenskyy, Russia is planning hybrid attacks not only against NATO members.
“We have offered our assistance to various countries,” the president said in response to ABC News.
First and foremost, this concerns countries that are helping Ukraine during the war. The Drone Deal stipulates that Ukraine will exchange experience with the country with which this agreement is signed.
“Just as we sent specialists to the Middle East, as we helped protect critical facilities,” the president said.
- Russian drones and missiles have repeatedly violated the airspace of European countries during strikes on Ukraine. Russian security services also organise sabotage in European countries, including at railway and military facilities.
- This year, European capitals have increasingly spoken about the threat of hybrid attacks from Russia. Against the backdrop of these warnings, Germany is preparing hospitals for possible emergencies, Lithuania has updated its evacuation plans, and NATO countries are holding military exercises in the Baltic region.
