In Donetsk region, the mandatory evacuation zone for families with children has been expanded. A new evacuation point for civilians is also being organised.
The relevant decision was taken on 25 September during a meeting of the Coordination Headquarters on population evacuation and response to the mass movement of residents, the Donetsk Regional Military Administration reports.
The mandatory evacuation of children was approved from certain settlements of the Sviatohirsk urban territorial community, certain areas of the city of Sloviansk, as well as from the settlement of Sukhanivka in the Sloviansk community.
"This decision was taken in order to protect the lives and health of children amid the constant threat of enemy shelling", the statement says.
In addition, due to regular Russian shelling and attacks on civilian evacuation sites, the Coordination Headquarters decided to set up a new evacuation point for residents.
