In Sumy Region, Russian shelling over the past day has left civilians dead and injured. Russian forces shelled 26 settlements in 12 communities more than 90 times.

In the Sumy community, a 42-year-old man was killed in a strike with guided aerial bombs. Details regarding a second fatality are being clarified.
Injuries and trauma were sustained by 13 women aged between 21 and 87, three girls — an 11-month-old baby, and girls aged 8 and 14 — and six men aged between 24 and 65. Two men aged 52 and 57, three women aged 58, 63 and 74, and a 17-year-old boy were also injured.
In the Znob-Novhorodske community, a 19-year-old man was killed on 25 September after a Russian UAV strike. Two more men, aged 40 and 24, were injured.
Overall, from the morning of 26 September to the morning of 27 September, Russian forces carried out more than 90 attacks on the territory of 12 communities. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka districts.
The communities hit were Sumy, Myropillia, Yunakivka, Khotin, Znob-Novhorodske, Hlukhiv, Seredyna-Buda, Shalyhyne, Esman, Novoslobidske, Putyvl and Velyka Pysarivka.
Russian forces used artillery, mortars, FPV drones, other UAVs and guided aerial bombs.
As a result of the attacks, civilian infrastructure, blocks of flats and private homes, cars and non-residential buildings were damaged. In the Znob-Novhorodske community, some civilian infrastructure facilities were destroyed.
Over the past day, the air-raid alert in Sumy Region lasted 20 hours and 42 minutes.
