Day 1,677 of the Russian Federation’s full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. Overall, over the past day 221 combat engagements were recorded, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
Yesterday, the enemy carried out 90 air strikes, during which it dropped 289 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the invaders used 10,489 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,729 attacks on населённые пункты and the positions of our troops, 26 of them using multiple launch rocket systems.
Enemy shelling, in particular, hit the settlements of Bezsalivka, Korenok, Rohizne, Tovstodubove, Potapivka, Sopych, Kucherivka, Fotovyzh, Yastrubshchyna, Bachivsk, Shpyl, Hirky, Havrylova Sloboda, Starykove, Prohres and Nova Huta in Sumy Region; and Buchky in Chernihiv Region. The settlement of Sukhodil was hit by an air strike.
Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defence Forces struck four UAV command-and-control points, two artillery systems, and four key and logistical enemy targets.
In the North Slobozhanskyi and Kursk sectors, one enemy assault action was recorded over the past day. The aggressor carried out one air strike using two guided aerial bombs and conducted 51 attacks on the positions of our troops and on settlements.
In the South Slobozhanskyi sector, Ukrainian units repelled four enemy attacks. The invaders tried to advance towards the settlements of Ternova, Kozacha Lopan and Lyman.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy tried three times to improve its positions, conducting assault actions towards Kupiansk, Radkivka and Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi.
Attempts to break into our defences were repelled in the Lyman sector, where the occupiers attacked 12 times towards the settlements of Novoselivka, Drobyshcheve, Lyman, Dibrova, Stavky and Cherneshchyna.
In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy carried out five assault actions in the area of Kryva Luka, Rai-Oleksandrivka and Mykolaivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy attacked once towards Kostiantynivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, according to updated information, 26 attacks were recorded. The invaders conducted assault actions in the areas of the settlement of Kostiantynivka and towards Illinivka, Torske, Rusyn Yar, Pryiut, Shakhove, Vilne, Stepiv and Kucherovyi Yar.
The enemy carried out 26 attacks in the Pokrovsk sector. According to updated information, the occupiers tried to advance towards the settlements of Dorozhnie, Hannivka, Novyi Donbas, Bilytske, Dobropillia, Svitle, Hulive, Serhiivka, Molodetske, Novomykolaivka, Krasnopodillia and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy attacked twice towards Voskresenka and Berezove.
In the Huliaipole sector, the occupiers attacked the positions of our defenders six times. The enemy tried to advance towards the settlements of Kosivtseve, Vozdvyzhivka, Rivne and Hirke.
In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy tried once to improve its positions towards Mala Tokmachka.
In the Dnieper sector, the occupiers did not conduct assault actions.
In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of the enemy forming offensive groupings were detected.
The General Staff also clarified the enemy’s losses over the past day: the Russian army lost another 1,690 personnel.
Eight tanks, seven armoured combat vehicles, 57 artillery systems, three multiple launch rocket systems, four air defence assets, 14 ground robotic systems, 1,826 unmanned aerial vehicles, 517 vehicles and seven units of specialised equipment were destroyed.
