Servicemen from the RUBpAK company of the Special Forces unit “Bolgarychi” of the 11th Mykhailo Hrushevskyi Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine carried out an operation to rescue six cats from occupied Oleshky.
This was reported by the 11th Mykhailo Hrushevskyi Brigade of the National Guard.
The animals were left without owners and, because of the fighting, risked dying of hunger. With the help of local residents, the National Guard troops managed to evacuate six cats that were born under occupation.
For the operation, the servicemen used a specially designed cage. In it, the cats were carried across the Dnipro beneath one of the heavy bombers.
The brigade noted that the animals travelled more than 10 kilometres through the air to reach their destination. The successful animal rescue operation was dubbed “Tigers”.
- On 4 October, guardsmen from the 11th NGU Brigade named after Mykhailo Hrushevskyi and the 34th Kherson Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine carried out a second operation to deliver 4 tonnes of humanitarian aid to occupied Oleshky.
