As a result of the overnight Russian attack on Pryluky, a medium-pressure gas pipeline was damaged. Because of this, more than 18,000 residents of the city have been temporarily left without gas supply.
Serhiy Fedorenko, Chairman of the Board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, reported this on Facebook.
Specialists from Gazmerezhi are working at the site: they are checking gas networks and equipment in order to restore supply as quickly as possible.
According to Fedorenko, the building hit by an enemy missile was home, among others, to Naftogaz employees. At present, one female employee is known to have been killed.
Clearing the rubble is continuing, and local businesses are providing machinery and personnel for search-and-rescue operations.
