On Thursday, 8 October, electricity consumption restrictions will be applied in parts of Ukraine’s regions. This was reported by NEC Ukrenergo.
For industry and business, power limitation schedules will be in force throughout the day – from 00:00 to 23:59.
For household consumers, hourly outage schedules will also be applied in some regions at a level of between 0.5 and 1.5 groups.
Ukrenergo noted that the restrictions were caused by the aftermath of Russian missile-and-drone attacks on energy facilities.
The situation in the power system may change depending on the consequences of Russian shelling. Ukrainians were urged to follow updates from local distribution system operators and to use electricity sparingly when power is available.
- As a result of Russian strikes on energy infrastructure, new power outages were recorded on the morning of 7 October in Poltava, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Vinnytsya and Kherson Regions.
