Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi held talks with EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos.
According to the head of government, the discussion focused on Ukraine’s accession to the EU and financial support.
“We expect the remaining two clusters to be opened by the end of the year. Our shared priority is to ensure the preparation of a positive report on meeting the interim benchmarks (IBAR). Following the agreements between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, we discussed with Marta Kos the work of the newly established special working group, the IBAR Task Force, to strengthen support for Ukraine and accelerate European integration,” Koretskyi said.
The conversation also covered the progress made by the government and parliament towards securing financial support from the EU.
- Earlier, Koretskyi said that the Cabinet of Ministers had completed its part of the commitments on which the receipt of international financial assistance in 2026 depends.
- In addition, this week parliament backed a number of important draft laws under the Ukraine Facility, agreements with the IMF, and other mechanisms of international support.
