The Brave1 defence cluster has announced the launch of the Brave1 Invest platform, designed to help Ukrainian defence-technology manufacturers find Ukrainian and international investors. This is stated in a Brave1 press release.

Investors wishing to invest in defence technologies need to register on the Brave1 Invest Portal, complete their profile, and indicate which technologies and companies interest them, which areas they are prepared to invest in, and what level of funding they are considering.

After passing compliance checks, investors gain access to a catalogue of Ukrainian defence-tech companies that have ready-made products and have independently declared their willingness to attract investment.

On the platform, investors can:

  • browse the catalogue of Ukrainian manufacturers and technologies;
  • find companies by development area, technology readiness level and funding needs;
  • view available information about companies and their investment requests;
  • request pitch decks and additional materials;
  • contact teams to get acquainted and arrange technology demonstrations.

In turn, manufacturers must create a company profile, describe their technologies and products, state how much investment they are seeking and what stage of fundraising they are at. The company then undergoes moderation. If the profile or presentation materials require refinement, the Brave1 team will help with this.

“Even if a company does not yet have a ready pitch deck or a full set of investment materials, the Brave1 team will help prepare them for presentation to potential investors. After that, the manufacturer’s profile becomes available to investors on the Brave1 Invest Portal,” the organisation explained.

Brave1 notes that all investment information on the platform is kept behind closed access and is available exclusively to verified investors. Each investor undergoes internal security and compliance checks, including screening for links to the aggressor state and its allies. Companies do not disclose sensitive technical or operational information in their profiles. Access to more detailed materials, including pitch decks, is provided via a separate request.

By way of reminder, recently the Ministry of Defence, together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Brave1 defence cluster, launched grant competitions to develop air-to-air guided missiles and Ukrainian radars.
