Over the past day in Sumy region, one person was killed and four others were injured as a result of Russian attacks. Over the past day, Russian forces shelled 22 settlements in the region.
The regional police reported that a total of 66 strikes were recorded. Police investigative teams and bomb disposal experts worked at the scenes.
In the Putyvl community, a 69-year-old woman was killed in strikes by enemy drones, while a 57-year-old woman and a 78-year-old man were injured. A private household, a shop and a car were damaged.
In the Seredyna-Buda community, men aged 53 and 40 were injured in a mortar attack. Apartment blocks and private houses were damaged.
In the Hlukhiv community, residential buildings and a canteen were damaged.
In the Shostka community, a car was damaged.
In the Sumy community, apartment blocks and a car were damaged.
In all cases, investigators opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (war crimes). The investigation is ongoing.
