Chernihiv has been left completely without power, reportedly as a result of a Russian drone attack overnight on 7 November. Due to the blackout, electric public transport in the city is temporarily not operating.
This was reported by the Chernihiv City Council.
"Attention! At present, the city of Chernihiv is completely without power. Due to the lack of electricity supply, the operation of electric public transport in Chernihiv has currently been suspended," the statement said.
Overnight, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned of groups of jet-powered drones moving towards Chernihiv.
- In addition, the Russians carried out a ballistic strike on Kyiv. In the capital, residential buildings and the Northern Bridge were damaged, and a nursery school was destroyed. Five people were injured.
