The High Anti-Corruption Court has imposed a preventive measure on Serhii Duka, former deputy head of the SBU Department for the Protection of National Statehood.
This was reported by the HACC.
The court remanded Duka in custody with the option of posting bail of 65 million hryvnias.
If bail is posted, procedural obligations will be imposed on him.
As the SAP noted, Serhii Duka’s detention is set to last until 02.01.2027.
- Operation “Carthage”, which the NABU and SAP announced on 5 September, focused on exposing a criminal organisation operating within the Prosecutor General’s Office that provided “services” to cover up illegal concentrates in exchange for bribes. They are also suspected of laundering illegally acquired assets.
- In NABU recordings, Serhii Duka appears under the alias “Akim”. According to investigators, he was aware of the activities of the organiser of the criminal group nicknamed “Kryminal” and helped him resolve issues not only within the SBU but also in the Prosecutor General’s Office.
