In Kyiv, public transport services have been temporarily changed as work continues to deal with the aftermath of damage to the Northern Bridge. Surface transport is operating under revised routes, and buses have been diverted via the Podil Bridge crossing.

This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration on the morning of 7 November.

In particular, buses No. 21, 73 and 101 are running to Kontraktova Ploshcha metro station. Trolleybus No. 29-TR is operating from Darnytska Square to Kontraktova Ploshcha metro station.

Route No. 31-TR links Myloslavska Street with Lukianivska metro station via Hlybochytska Street — following the same scheme as bus No. 112. Trolleybus No. 47-TR is operating from Minska metro station to Pochaina metro station.

Service on route No. 30-TR has been organised in two separate sections:

  • from Myloslavska Street to Pochaina metro station via Novokostiantynivska Street;
  • from Kadetskyi Hai Street to Pochaina metro station.

The Kyiv City State Administration noted that specialists on the Northern Bridge are carrying out priority measures to address the consequences of the damage. Further restoration work on the structure will be determined after inspections and conclusions from relevant institutions, and with regard to the security situation.

  • At around 1am, the Russians launched a new wave of missile attacks on Kyiv and the region. Five people were injured at two addresses in the Solomianskyi district. A child is among the victims.
  • The Northern Bridge was also damaged as a result of the Russian attacks. The road surface, the trolleybus overhead line and a power line were damaged there.
  • The blast wave damaged five lorries in a car park near the bridge.
