Illegal paramilitary groups of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic have shot at the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces 38 times since midnight, the press centre of the antiterrorist operation (ATO) HQ has said.
In the Mariupol sector, militants fired 120-mm mortarts and an antitank grenade launcher on Ukrainian fortifications near Hnutove.
On the outskirts of Donetsk, they fired various grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms on strongpoints in Pisky, Opytne, Maryinka, Avdiyivka and the Butivka mine.
On the Svitlodarsk salient, they shot with heavy machine guns at the ATO forces in Myronivske and grenade launchers and small arms in Luhanske.
Near Horlivka, the separatists used small arms and grenade launchers against the ATO forces in Troyitske and Verkhnyotoretske.
At about 3 a.m. they fired over 150 mines from 120- and 82-mm mortars banned by the Minsk agreements at the ATO forces in Zaytseve and Mayorsk. At 4 p.m. Zaytsev came under fire from 120-mm mortars again.
On 3 February, the militants launched 55 shooting attacks on Donbas. One Ukrainian serviceman was wounded near Horlivka.
