The secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, Oleksandr Turchynov, has suggested that Russia is to blame for the terror attacks in Brussels.

"Today's outbreaks of terror attacks are consequences of the hybrid war waged by Russia. The bloody terror waged in the east of our country and the terror attacks in Turkey, Paris and Brussels have the same directors. By deliberately destroying civilian infrastructure in Syrian towns, the Russian Federation actively stimulated powerful migration flows within which fundamentalists and terrorists can easily be disguised. Only by understanding the threats and uniting efforts can we defeat international terrorism and stop those who produce it," he said on Facebook.

The chief of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Vasyl Hrytsak, has suggested a "Russian trace" in today's terror attacks in Brussels. Russian Prime Minister Dmitriy Medvedev called him an "idiot".
