The situation in the zone of the antiterrorist operation (ATO) has substantially stabilized all along the contact line despite five violations of truce over the past 24 hours, according to the ATO HQ press centre.
On Monday, 2 May, the militants fired hand grenades at the positions of the ATO forces near Mariyinka. On the Horlivka-Svitlodarsk salient, an indiscriminate fire was carried out with small arms and rocket-propelled grenade launchers at the positions of government troops in the vicinity of Zaytseve and Luhanske.
No enemy fire was recorded after midnight.
Earlier, militants six times violated the Easter cease-fire.
