Over the past day, Russia-backed militants 46 times attacked the positions of antiterrorist troops in Donbas, the press centre of the ATO reported.
The intensity of the attacks increased in the second half of the day.
In Luhansk direction, the enemy fired grenade launchers at ATO positions near Stanytsya Luhanska, Bohuslavske and Stepne.
In Donetsk direction terrorists fired at Ukrainian troops near the villages of Zaytsevo, Mayorske, Luhanske, Verkhnyotoretske, Novoselivka-Druha from of all types of small arms and rocket-propelled grenades. Mortars were used outside In Nevelske, Troyitske and Avdiyivka.
In Mariupol direction, militants in the vicinity of the villages Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Taramchuk, Pavlopily, Shyrokino used small arms, machine guns, grenade launchers and mortars. Army positions outside Novotroitsk were twice shelled from heavy mortars and 152-mm artillery.
On several occasions, Ukrainian military returned fire.
Yesterday, militants 20 times fired at the positions of ATO troops in Donbas.
